The Classic Browser uses the Chromium engine & is highly configurable

For an online lifestyle, the right browser is your main partner. Most browsers look and act the same way but show distinct differences in speed and ease of use. Earlier, Internet Explorer was synonymous with the web; now many people prefer to use alternative browsers like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Plenty of other alternatives still exist which bring their own innovations to help you make the most of your time online – and one of them is The Classic Browser for Windows PC. The most significant part of the Classic browser is that it is 100% configurable and includes many themes.

The Classic Browser Review

The Classic Browser

Firstly, most browsers these days have much or less similar interface design with a few unique tweaks here and there, so in terms of usability, they’re all perfectly fine; but few improvements might endear you to one browser. For example, can browsers that have to dig deep into massive cache files in order to retrieve navigating history respond faster than a browser that doesn’t use or need a disk cache? If you have a very fast Internet connection, you will benefit the most from the world’s FIRST dynamic cache-less browser – the classic browser. It has awesome loading speed.

Second, Classic is a Chromium-based browser. It uses the Chromium engine strictly as a ‘RENDERER-ONLY’. What does it mean? Chromium engine is only used by the browser to pass an URL to display a website. Also, it has been fine-tuned to the extent that it does not waste precious time in writing to your hard disk. This helps to eliminate the piling of Internet junk files.

The terms and conditions for the use of the browser are simple and straightforward. It does not violate the privacy of an individual or feature other obligatory agreements, contracts, threats, or other types that heckle users. The browser respects both users and their computer systems as they deserve.

When you first download the browser and run it, you see the main page of the browser. It appears quite simple in look with usual tools like,

  1. Tab manager
  2. History manager
  3. Bookmarks manager
  4. Password manager
  5. Download manager
  6. Events manager

Despite all this, the browser interface looks uncluttered and hides many useful features underneath.

The entire interface, including all the number-crunching routines, are custom written from the ground up. The main interface of the browser too is uncluttered and hides many useful features underneath.

A visible, useful feature of the Classic browser is its fantastic Bookmark Menus. It is beautiful, easily configurable, and supports versatile Favorites menus. Most of the modern web browsers today use this feature.

Next, unlike other browsers that use a single search engine for giving results related to search keyword, the Classic browser supports search results from up to 12 unique search engines. These can be engines of your personal choice. So, if you can’t find relevant results, go ahead and expand your horizons with the browser’s Multi-Search option!

Also, if you want to download any file, the process doesn’t take long. It is completed in an instant. Normally, clicking a download link takes few seconds for the “Save As” dialog box to appear and for you to enter and OK the pathname to save the file to a suitable location. This is not the case with the Classic Browser. It starts downloading immediately to a data buffer in memory, and if you decide to cancel, the data buffer is simply discarded.

Other important highlights of The Classic Browser

Guaranteed Safety & Privacy. Other than your settings, the Classic browser doesn’t save anything to your hard disk. This makes the browser a lot safer and private. Moreover, it is highly user-configurable but NON-programmable by 3rd parties.

Security and configuration options apart, The browser is a complete entertainment package. It includes special menus for Web-TV, Web-Radio, Web-Tunes, and popular websites.

All said, the makers of the Classic Browser openly admit that the browser uses powerful scraping capabilities offered strictly for personal use. So, please use them wisely. Web scraping is a data scraping used for extracting data from websites. It is a form of copying, in which specific data is gathered and copied from the web. Web scraping a web page involves,

  1. Fetching
  2. Extracting

Fetching refers to the downloading of a page (which a browser does when you view the page).

Despite all of the above, the browser has scope for Local Media Support for hundreds of audio, video, and image files.

this is a very poor excuse for a browser. Stick with Chrome and Edge. I have 16GB RAM in my HP laptop, You can have 25 Tabs on Chrome and 10 in Edge and you will still be Okay. Cheers!!

I’ve started to use it on the side and the more I understand it the more I love it! Thanks mate.

Avast Free blocked it. Infection: File Rep Malware.

False alarm. Anti virus programs are viruses themselves. Use malwarebytes instead.

The browsers you mention are only good if you have like 20 links 🙂 Ask a DJ to accommodate his 2,000+ links to songs in Chrome and he’ll laugh at you!

Here’s the solution for you. Go to:

Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features

Highlight “Avast anti-virus” and click “Uninstall”.
