Soluto labels itself as an ‘anti-frustration’ software! If your Windows PC takes a long time to boot, you might want to check out this freeware. This software claims to dramatically speed up the boot time of your computer. It allows you to Pause or remove programs which you may not require to start every time your computer starts.

Also, it can delay the loading of programs or services that aren’t necessary when the computer is booting and readying itself for use. This way, such programs, and services are launched a little later, thus making your computer that much earlier and ready for you to use.
Soluto employs innovative low-level Windows kernel technologies to identify what users are asking their PC to do, and what their PC does in return. Soluto can pinpoint and analyze what resource obstacles stood in the way of the user’s desired actions. These can be I/O issues, network issues, resource locking, and so on.
Soluto uses the same technologies to determine what actions users took that had a positive effect on their computing experience. For example, pausing certain processes and reconfiguring certain applications can dramatically improve the behavior of a particular piece of software.
This anonymous technical data is gathered and sent to Soluto’s PC Genome, a one of a kind knowledgebase containing statistical insights about PC software and hardware behavior, as well as remedies to alleviate PC usage frustrations. By putting this information into the light, the PC Genome will help consumers and vendors alike.
Soluto employs another set of innovative algorithms to determine which remedies will have a positive impact on each Soluto user’s unique PC system. These remedies are then shared with other relevant Soluto users.
I did download and install it looks pretty slick, impressive, and easy-to-use! I was able to shave a few seconds off my boot-time, by pausing and disabling a few which entries which other tools may not show. It may make a much more difference to your boot time if you have too many programs starting up.
Soluto offers you recommendations – although it may take a couple of hours or even a couple of days to make recommendations.
What you are sure of, you can Pause. What you are sure you don’t need right away, you can Delay such startups. You can of course always restore such entries, should you wish, at a latter date!
So if you do plan to try it out, be prepared to let Soluto remain on your computer for a couple of days at least. Go get it here.
UPDATE: Even after installing and uninstalling Soluto with Revo, the program did leave a registry key at: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon Userinit wanting to startup. This pestered my WinPatrol no end. I had to manually delete this registry key.
