  • marvinsteph

great i was looking for a good free if possible solution to use with my nas at work
paragon softwares never failed on me :)

  • Carlos

I have been using this software and is wonderful, easy to set up with more choices than the windows backup, it is always ready when you need it and won’t let you down at the time of a system recovery.

  • azziz07

Thanks for this giveaway, ability to explore backed linux files from windows desktop and vice versa

  • Wayne

Thanks for this giveaway.. I’ll be trying it out to backup my Pictures and Music up to Blu-Ray re-writable disc’s….

  • Michael

    Nice giveaway!
It’s a really good software, which is worth buying. Some ideas to improve:
    - Language: There is no option to choose the language (only English), maybe you could add some important one (e.g.German, French)
    - Backup: For some users (me including) would be network backup
    - space on the harddisc: this program use a large size of harddisc space…
    - user interface: in a few cases, it’s a bit confusing
In general there is one difficult thing: I use some Paragon-softwares, but sometimes I don’t know which is the best (there are too many).
But all in all I am very content, 29.95 is a fair price.
    I hope I will win.
    Good luck to everyone!

    Best regards

I really like with system backup the no interaction in backup your system. Really reliable for novice user. And with Backup and Recovery Suite, this system restore like software and the bare metal are combine in one software. A truly worth of software.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  • walang sangit

I have little doubt with this software, I always just use the default features of Windows 7, but I might try it

    thank you

  • Paul Gorski

This is way better than Retrospect…which is what I was using. Retrospect would often need to be restarted several times to work properly. Not so with System Backup 9.5. Very smooth.

  • Carmi

I have an older version of Paragon Drive Backup that just saved my ass when my system drive crashed.
It’s so easy to use! I’d really appreciate a chance to get the Backup & Recovery 10 Suite.

    Thanks!

  • OldElmerFudd

I’ve beta tested System Backup 2009 and 2010 and thought they were pretty good. Paragon supplies excellent software at very competitive prices. It follows the business model of Easeus and Ashampoo in offering multiple versions of the product lines both current and recently supplanted. Paragon doesn’t spam the user with endless offers, to their credit.
    Good company, fine software.

  • Warren

I have used Paragon backup before, and it saved me quite a few times, so will definately download this.Have Comodo backup at present time but have not had the chance to test it, with this giveaway I won’t need to, I’ll go with one thats proven and I know I can rely on. With luck maybe I’ll win the Backup & Recovery 10.

  • Anson

  • Thomas William Muise

I have rebit ogood backup program. I have other Pargon software that I use I’ll will give this a thourough look see.

  • Ruchir Bansal

Excellent giveaway by an excellent website. But the natural ques. is does it include or allow to make a bootable CD as Paragon blocks that feature from giveaways or promotions at least thus far.

  • Ruchir Bansal

By excellent website I meant the windowsclub.com,probably the fastest growing blog, and gaining respect at the fastest pace from all corners

  • jelson

Very nice giveaway, but… I’ll pass.

    Why?

When I was deciding which partition imaging software I was going to adopt, it came down to Acronis or Paragon. All things considered it was really close.

And strangely enough, I went with Acronis simply because haves the ability to input a lengthy comment into the image file. I could leave notes for myself about the characteristics of that particular image such, to-do notes, etc. And it’s lack in Paragon products was the a deal-breaker for me.

Having said that, I do in fact recommend Paragon to almost everyone: imaging software, IMHO, is more important than anti-malware. They make solid backup software and from time-to-time there are great promos… like this one!

  • joe

this is a wonderful backuip program. I would love to have the ability to have a different language to select during the install. I also would like to see network backup,

  • JanB-Punkt

Thx for the nice download :)

  • PeterB

    Hello The Windows Club.
I just tried Paragon System Backup 32bit edition.
If I were allowed to change something in the program, it would be in the “exclude section” of the program.
It does not allow you to exclude hidden files and folders, like the pagefile and the files in “system volume information” folder. Since system restore is enabled by default, and when you get a virus and remove it, the files after cleaning often end up in a restore point in the “system volume information” folder.
    Thank you

  • SpudGie

Wow! I’m a Acronis user and I thought I would never find another backup solution equal to it. I like the flash memory option, it allows you to carry your recovery software on a flash drive. However, with that being said, there’s one thing that Acronis has that will make me stay a user and that’s the universal restore. This allow you to restore your image to a different machine.

    Thanks

  • Norbert Rehaut

    Thanks for this giveaway!
I have been fighting with Genie Backup Manager for almost 2 years to restore there Disaster Recovery DVD’s with out success? I hope this Paragon Backup Software will solve my problems!

  • TheBigOldDog

First, major Kudos to Paragon to the major improvements they keep making to all of their great tools and fir going the extra mile to distribute the previous versions to people like us for free so that we can become familiar with them and gain trust in the quality of their tools. In the old days, this was how all smart software companies built brand loyalty.

Second, I’ve now had the pleasure of using Paragon’s great partitioning tool, and their excellent Virtualization Manager suite. All excellent, easy to use yet powerful tools.

As for the backup suite, version 10 sounds like it’s killer! Drive Backup 10, one of the 2 included tools in the suite allows you to “restore to completely different hardware by injecting the required drivers” which is about as good as it gets when you have to migrate to a new machine or one that has been substantially changed – like a mobo replacement. It also has a winPE recovery environment which is important for people like me with RAID configurations since all too often a Linux based recovery will fail to see the drives. I have huge issues recovering images from one of Paragon’s primary competitors because of that and as a result I’ve pretty much stopped using their product because I can no longer trust the it. It misses backups for no particular reason, manages the archive based on the rules only when it feels like it and half the new features don’t even work. So I’ve stopped recommending them. So I’m wide open to be won over by Paragon’s solution.

  • TheBigOldDog

Oh, and the competing product had this nasty little bug that erased – yes erased – outlook files. They just went poof whenever the planets aligned just right. So the next day people would come in to discover all their outlook data was gone. If you were really unlucky it would happen the same day the archive was consolidated and so you couldn’t even recover an older version from an older image in the archive. That was the last straw for me…

  • A-Jey

    Thanks for the great giveaway.

    Hi,
I have been using this software and is wonderful, easy to set up.
My suggestion to improve the software:
Language: There is no option to choose the language, maybe you could add some important one (italian,french,ecc…..)
space on the hard disk: this program use a large size of hard disk.
    Thank’s

  • ErnieK

I have been using various Paragon software for a few years now and as time goes by it gets both better and and easier to use. If setting up for yourself then you have the facility to backup when and how YOUR needs require.

If setting up for a complete PC beginner, just setup and away they go with the assurance that they can do no damage. If they do make a mess of things then a couple of click and they will smile with relief once again. Once they gain a bit more confidence the program is easy for them to use and follow.

    Hello window club..

thanks for holding great give away.. i am not a geek but here is my comment after using system back up 9.5
    Pros
    1. It is very easy and not complicated and dont have so many tools so convenience for person who is not the advanced user.
    Cons
    2. using external hard-drive system back up seems a little bit long time..

    regards

  • A-Jey

It would be nice if thewindowsclub.com could do a full backup on a test-machine to check the issue mentioned by TheBigOldDog.

  • Dhiraj Sinha

Having tried out the system backup 9.5 for a few day,I was left with the impression that it is a simple yet effective tool. The ability to adjust backup process priority is an impressive feature. Now this feature may not mean much to a new system owner but it definitely makes a lot of difference to those whose PC is about 4-5 years old(or more!!).However it is oversimplified in some areas. For example, there should be an option to adjust the compression level even for the automatic backup mode. This feature is especially important for those backup scenarios when the backup image is being stored on the computer hard disk itself through the use of backup capsule.

  • AstroSkipper

Hi, Thanks for this great giveaway. Paragon System Backup is a very good backup software, easy to set up and easy to handle. To win a license of the Backup & Recovery 10 Suite would be perfect. Thanks.

It would be nice if thewindowsclub.com could do a full backup on a test-machine to check the issue mentioned by TheBigOldDog.”

Let me be perfectly clear, the issues I mentioned were not with Paragon but one of it’s primary competitors in the imaging/backup space. As far as I know, Paragon has none of these problems except this version (9.5) comes with a Linux based recovery disk which may or may not see RAID disks. Version 10 comes with a WinPE based recovery disk which, in my experience, has no problem seeing RAID drives.

  • A-Jey

    @TheBigOldDog:

    ok, I misunderstood then.
so this is the software for my needs.
    perfect.

This should be perfect for you.

I test software on a virtual machine or a sandbox for a while before I put in on a live system.

  • Suetonius

Thanks for this new great giveaway. Here my experiences with Paragon System Backup 9.5:

    1. Good backup features
    2. easy to use
    3. ability to adjust backup process priority

One thing: A multilanguage user interface would be perfect.

I would be very happy to win a license of Backup & Recovery 10 Suite. Best regards.

  • http://www.thewindowsclub.com/ Windows Club

The giveaway of System Backup has expired.

I will now request the company to select 10 and forward them the licenses of Backup & Recovery 10 Suite.

  • Grr

Thanks TWC. Appreciate if you could count me in.

It will be good if following things are implemented:
    1. 1 set-up applicable to both 32 as well as 64bit
    2. reduction in size of installer
    3. less use of HDD space on installation
    4. confusion created by use of similar terminologies like system backup & Drive Backup. It sounds 1 & the same thing to a regular PC user and leads to lots of confusion.

    Thanks, Grr
