Chasys Draw IES is a suite of applications including an advanced layer-based image editor with animation, icon editing support and super-resolution via image stacking, a multi-threaded image file converter, a fast image viewer & a RAW camera file processor.

The first time you install the application, it will ask to associate most of the common image formats with Chasys Draw IES you have the options to skip it. Then it will register and activate seven different plugins, once that’s complete it will complete the install.

Chasys Draw IES is built on C/C++ and assembly which contains 4 different applications.

Chasys Draw IES Artist

Chasys Draw IES Artist is the image editor of Chasys Draw IES. You can edit an existing image or you can paint, design or any kind of artistic work. With Chasys Draw IES Artist, you can edit your digital photos, allowing you to remove the blemishes. characteristic of imagery captured using digital cameras and scanners –  and even natural ones like pimples – without losing the harmony and flow of the original.

Chasys Draw IES Artist also supports freestyle layering. According to the developer, the freestyle layers can be moved about all over the virtual desktop of the workspace, much like you can place photos anywhere on your table. Chasys Draw IES Artist you can add animations to images or cursors as well. The tool supports basic image-stacking, allowing you to eliminate moving objects blocking your view, perform noise reduction, and other effects such as multi-frame super-resolution.

Chasys Draw IES Converter

Chasys Draw IES Converter is a high-powered conversion program of Chasys Draw IES. The main advantage of your multi thread / Multi core processor and your conversion is extremely fast.  According to the developer The main window shows the current application status. The “threads” counter shows the number of parallel working threads; on multi-core systems, this figure will greater than one, showing that files are being converted in parallel.

The Chasys Draw IES Viewer is an image viewer, just a normal image viewer, where you can see both regular images or images that have animation as well. It’s working well, and it’s quite fast as well.  Chasys Draw IES Viewer has the ability to rotate animations and short videos.

Chasys Draw IES RAW-Photo

Chasys Draw IES raw-Photo is the RAW format import and processing program. According to the developer Chasys Draw IES raw-Photo is based on Dave Coffin’s raw photo decoder, better known as dcraw. For those who aren’t familiar with the term raw photo, it’s the photo you take from a digital camera (Digital Negatives) and this application will develop and covert into a usable format. According to the developer this supports starting with “Import and Camera Setup” section, then “Adjustments”, and finally the “Finalizing” section.

This article is written based on the help file because when it comes to GFX work, my knowledge is limited, but looking at this tool I couldn’t resist sharing with you all. It’s a great application that helps you to do various GFX works. The developer also offers a migration guide for those you are coming over from Photoshop. The best part is with all these features the software suite is absolutely free, which makes up for whatever minor flaws you may find in it.
