If Microsoft Drag and Drop is not working in Windows 11/10, use the following fixes to resolve the issue:

Check for update
Clear browser cache and cookies
Enable Super Drag and Drop mode
Disable all extensions
Reset Microsoft Edge

Let’s start.

1] Check for update

An outdated Microsoft Edge browser can cause this problem. Make sure your Microsoft Edge is up to date. To update your Microsoft Edge browser, use the below steps:

ezstandalone.cmd.push(function () { ezstandalone.showAds(834); });

Open the Microsoft Edge.
Click on the three dots from the upper right corner. Click on Settings.
Now, click on About Microsoft Edge from the Settings menu.

After this, Edge will start checking for updates and install them if they are available. After installing the updates, restart Edge.

Also, make sure that the installed browser extensions are updated.

2] Clear browser cache and cookies

ezstandalone.cmd.push(function () { ezstandalone.showAds(107); });

There is the possibility that corrupted cache and cookies create this problem. Clear your Microsoft Edge cache and cookies and check if it brings any changes.

3] Enable Super Drag and Drop mode

We also suggest you check if you have enabled the Super Drag and Drop mode in Edge. To do so, use the below steps:

Open the Microsoft Edge.
Type edge://flags in the search bar and press Enter key.
Scroll down and search “Microsoft Edge Super Drag Drop”.
Click on the dropdown next to “Microsoft Edge Super Drag Drop,” and select “Enabled.”
Click “Restart” to apply the changes. If you won’t get the Restart prompt in Edge, close Edge and relaunch it.

Now, try to drag and drop again and check if the issue gets fixed.

4] Disable all extensions

ezstandalone.cmd.push(function () { ezstandalone.showAds(875); });

Sometimes disabling all browser extensions can resolve this issue. To do so, use the following steps:

Click on the three-dot menu in the top right corner of the browser window.
Select Extensions > Manage extensions.
Toggle the switch next to each extension to disable it.

Disable all extensions one by one and try to drag and drop every time after disabling each extension. When the issue gets fixed, the extension that you have just disabled is the culprit. Uninstall that extension and look for its alternative.

5] Reset Microsoft Edge

Incorrect or corrupted Edge browser settings can create this issue. In this case, resetting the Microsoft Edge browser can help to fix this issue.

ezstandalone.cmd.push(function () { ezstandalone.showAds(127); });

I hope this helps.
