One of the most common reasons why one may see an error in any game is an outdated Graphics Driver. So, you need to update Graphics Driver and see if the issue is fixed.

2] Use Ultimate Performance Power Plan

The Ultimate Performance Power Plan in Windows enables your computer to perform at its best, but compromises battery life to achieve that. To activate the Power Plan, follow the steps provided.

Open Settings by Win + I.
Click System and go to Power & Sleep.
Click Additional power settings.
Now expand High Additional Plan and select Ultimate Performance.

Now, save the settings and check if the issue persists.

ezstandalone.cmd.push(function () { ezstandalone.showAds(875); });

If you can’t see the Ultimate Performance, run the following command in Command Prompt(as an admin).

powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61

Now, you can go through the step mentioned above and enable Ultimate Performance.

3] Set Display Mode to Fullscreen

According to many COD users, the game was experiencing FPS issues and we should set it to Fullscreen to have a hassle-free gaming experience. To do that, open the Game and go to Options. Now, go to Graphics and set the Display Mode to Fullscreen. Now, check if the issue persists.

4] Stop Heavy Apps

ezstandalone.cmd.push(function () { ezstandalone.showAds(127); });

If your computer barely meets the minimum requirement to run the game, then you can not run other heavy apps alongside it. Apps such as Discord, Google Chrome, other games, tend to take a huge chunk of your RAM. So, before running the game, stop these apps, stop any other process such as Windows Update, and see if it runs smoothly.

Hopefully, you are able to resolve the error with the help of your solutions.
