Remotely access another computer using Chrome Remote Desktop

We have earlier told you how you could remote access another computer using web browser using TeamViewer web connector. Now Google has released an extension for Chrome browser called Chrome Remote Desktop.  This extension lets users to remotely access another computer using the Chrome browser or a Chromebook.

This extension can be pretty useful when you need help solving a computer problem, but the person you’d like to get help from isn’t physically nearby.

Conversely, if a friend has asked you for help with his or her computer, you can use the Chrome Remote Desktop app to see and interact with your friend’s computer without having to leave your desk.

This version enables users to share with or get access to another computer by providing a one-time authentication code. Access is given only to the specific person the user identifies for one time only, and the sharing session is fully secured.

Using this extension, IT Pros will be able to offer help to other layman users and users will also be able to receive help without leaving their desks.

Chrome Remote Desktop is fully cross-platform. Using it, you can connect any two computers that have a Chrome browser, including Windows, Linux, Mac, and Chromebooks.

Go here to install it on your Chrome browser. If you need more help go here. To install the extension, you will have to first log in to your Google account.
