Attacks exploiting vulnerable programs and plug-ins are rarely blocked by traditional antivirus and are therefore increasingly popular among criminals. The only solution to block these kind of attacks is to apply security updates, commonly referred to as patches. Patches are offered free-of-charge by most software vendors, however, finding all these patches is a tedious and time consuming task.

Secunia PSI automates this and alerts you when your programs and plug-ins require updating to stay secure.

The free tool will scan all the installed software on your system and identify if any of them need to be updated. It then supplies your computer with the necessary software security updates to keep it safe. The Secunia PSI even automates the updates for your insecure programs.

Check out the Secunia PSI now and secure your PC today!

Secunia PSI is an excellent product with an extremely good purpose. It is known by this tech that PSI will identify some false positives, especially with back up copies of the CD/DVD copied to the hard disk of Microsoft Office.

The portable Update Checker from File Hippo is a good solution for software – unfortunately not drivers.

why not using surfpatrol or browser check? secunia is rather slow and most commonly used exploits are written for browsers and plugins
