This post will show you how you can disable the Use recommended browser settings prompt on your Edge browser. Microsoft has started prompting “Use Microsoft recommended browser settings” in the Edge Chromium that seems the company is now urging or pushing users to use Edge as the default browser and Bing as the default search engine.
The popup mainly appears when users open the updated Edge Chromium browser on Windows 10. The most irritating part of this problem is that it could keep displaying the alert every time you open the browser, notwithstanding you have already dismissed the recommendation.
The options offered are:
- Use Microsoft recommended browser settings
- Don’t update your browser settings.
If you don’t want to see this annoying popup when you open the browsers, you can disable it manually using a hidden experimental flag. Let us learn how to disable the recommended browser Settings Prompt in Microsoft Edge.
