Best eBook readers for Windows Phone

E-books is the latest trend for reading books and they are also the most convenient way to read, with your smartphone or tablet. Keeping these things in mind, I’ve reviewed some of the best e-book readers apps available for Windows Phone.

Here are some e-book reading applications which you may want to check out:

Bookviser Reader

Bookviser is my personal favourite, filled with lots of features and absolutely free, it gives you access to thousands of free e-books available on Smashwords, ManyBooks and FeedBooks and in case if you don’t get a book there, you can manually download it from a browser as Bookviser can also read e-books from files, mainly fb2, ePub and txt files. The best part of this free application is that there are no ads so no distractions while reading and you are going to love the realistic page transitions. You can customize the reading experience by changing size, colour of the text and you can even adjust margins and spacing. You can make bookmarks and look for definitions while you are reading a book. Click here to download Bookviser.

Freda is another free e-book reading application for Windows Phone. Freda lets you download books from Feedbooks, Smashwords and the Gutenberg Project and it supports e-books from files too. Freda can read ePub, fb2, html and txt format books. It comes with inbuilt dictionary and translation tool so that if you are reading some fancy author you can look up for meanings on the go. You can create bookmarks, annotations and save them so that you can easily navigate to the pages you loved the most. Click here to download Freda

Legimi gives you access to many free as well as paid e-books, to read an paid e-book you can pay directly from your phone. Legimi supports eBooks from files too. Again you can customize reading experience to some extent by changing font size, margins, colouring options and etc. You can add bookmarks and highlight text or save something in your notebook. Click here to download Legimi.

All these ebook readers are great and had almost similar features – but in my opinion Bookviser is the best. It wins over Freda by not showing ads in the free version and giving a cleaner interface and page transitions, and it wins over Legimi by offering entire collection for free and avoiding the tedious task of logging in and then downloading books.
