I see softpedia.com will not allow this update of Nero Lite to be posted as it installs the Ask Toolbar without any user consent. http://www.softpedia.com/get/CD-DVD-Tools/Data-CD-DVD-Burning/Nero-Free.shtml

Why does The Windows Club promote downloads with such dubious installs? And before anyone claims that all a person has to do is just uninstall the Ask Toolbar- I know better. And I hope this site does too.

Although the ‘Ask toolbar’ is indeed installed by default, it is a very sinple matter to remove it afterwards (Windows 7 – IE 8) by going to the Tools/Toolbar menu, and de-selecting Nero Toolbar.

    Job done!

Quite a useful free program, I thought.

Deselecting the toolbar in IE does not remove it, it merely disables the add-in. If you want to remove it, you need to do so through Add/Remove Programs (XP) or Programs and Features (Vista/7).
