I happened upon Windows 7 Start Orb Loader while browsing on Deviantart . TWC’s freeware release Windows 7 Start Button Changer, backs-up and then replaces the Explorer.exe with a modified version using a chosen Start Orb set. This application applies the Start Orb to memory which is loaded when a user logs onto Windows.
Once you have downloaded the application, run it.
Check the option to Enable Start Orb Loader
Click Browse to select your Start Orb set
If you would like to add the application to your Desktop Right-Click menu check the Shell Integration option
Either Re-start explorer.exe, Log Off and Log On to apply changes or Restart PC.
I tested on my Windows 7 32 and 64 Bit computers and worked fine.
Features:
- It allows each user on the computer to have their own separate Start Orb.
- Change your start orb without changing explorer.exe. This prevents UAC prompts.
- Choose different start orb for each user.
- DPI-aware.
