We’ve got an update for you message in Windows 10

  1. Someone at Microsoft should know English grammar. “We’ve got” is short for “We have got” which is redundant. The message should be “We have an update for you.”

  2. Funny, comes up with this message even though i’ve blocked all the Windows10update executables from launching with Process Blocker and the installation for the latest win10 build is not on the computer on the root or in softwaredistributiondownload. It’ll be disappointed when it actually can’t update.

  3. This is what I blocked.
    c:windowsupdateassistantwindows10upgrade.exe

    c:windowsupdateassistantV2windows10upgrade.exe

    C:Windowssoftwaredistributiondownloadbigarsewin10upgradeDirwindowsupdatebox.exe

    C:windows10upgradewindows10upgradeapp.exe

It didn’t know the message box shown in the article yesterday so it ended up restarting, but didn’t do anything. Still the same W10 version 1703.
Only thing left to block is the Windows Update process itself somehow.
