What is RPC executor service?
RPC or Remote Procedure Call is a client that establishes a connection between your computer and the server you are trying to reach. In other words, RPC helps you build the interaction between a client and a server. In this case, your computer is the client, and Google’s server is the one that you are trying to connect to.

1] Clear app cache and browsing data
It is the very first thing you should try when you get the sign in error due to the RPC executor service. At times, old cookies, cache, and other browsing data could cause this issue on your computer.
If you use Windows 11/10, you can follow this guide to clear browser cache, cookies, history, etc., in Google Chrome.
However, if you use an Android mobile, you can tap and hold the Google Chrome icon until you get the pop-up window. Then, click on the information(i) icon.
Next, you need to select the Storage section and tap on the Manage storage button. Following that, tap on the CLEAR ALL DATA button.
After that, close all the open windows and check if you can log in or not.
2] Create new profile
Sometimes, this problem might occur due to your Google account linked to the browser. If so, you can create a new profile in Google Chrome and check if it fixes your issue or not.
Do not transfer all data from the old account to the new one right away once the profile creation is done. Check if you can log in or not. If yes, you can follow this guide to transfer your data from old profile to new profile.
3] Sign out of existing Google account
If you are already using a Google account or, in other words, if you have already signed into an account in the Chrome browser, you can try signing out of that account first. At times, two accounts could cause a conflict, and as a result, you can find the above-mentioned error.
If you use Google Chrome on Windows 11/10, you can click on your profile picture visible in the top-right corner and select the Sign out option.
However, if you use Google Chrome on Android, you need to open the browser and select Settings first.
Then, tap on your profile picture and select the Sign out option.
4] Update browser
If you haven’t updated your browser for a very long time, there is a high chance of getting this error while logging into your Google account. The simple solution is to update your browser to the latest version.
For that, you can click on the three-dotted icon and select the Help > About Google Chrome option.
If an update is pending, it will be installed automatically.
If you use an Android mobile, you need to open the Google Play Store and check if there is any pending update or not.
For your information, it is also suggested that Google Play Services and Android System WebView be updated.
5] Reset the browser
An incorrect setting could also be the reason for getting this issue on your computer. If you have changed a log of things and started getting this problem right after that, it is recommended to reset the browser once. You can go through this guide to reset Google Chrome browser in Windows 11/10.
6] Restart RPC service
RPC or Remote Procedure Call is a standalone service of Windows PC. However, if there are some problems with this service or this service has stopped somehow, you might find the same problem as above.
To restart the RPC service in Windows 11/10, follow these steps:
- Search for services in the Taskbar search box.
- Click on the individual search result.
- Find the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service and double-click on it.
- Click on the Stop button.
- Click on the Start button.
- Click the OK button.
Next, you can also do the same with RPC Endpoint Mapper service as well. However, if the Start and Stop buttons are disabled or grayed out, you do not need to do anything.
7] Temporarily disable proxy and VPN
If your proxy or VPN fails to establish a connection between your computer and the server, there is a chance of getting the error, as said earlier. That is why it is suggested to temporarily disable proxy or VPN if you use any.
8] Check browser sign in settings
There is a Group Policy setting that forces users to sign in to use the Google Chrome browser. If you have enabled this setting with many others incorrectly, there is a high chance of getting this problem while signing into your Google account. That is why we are suggesting you check and disable this setting. For that, do the following:
- Press Win+R to open the Run prompt.
- Type gpedit.msc and hit the Enter button.
- Navigate to this path: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Google Chrome
- Double-click on the Browser sign in settings option.
- Select the Not Configured option.
- Click the OK button.
- Restart the Google Chrome browser.
That’s all! Hope these solutions worked for you.
