Just spent some time uninstalling last 1.75 version, then installing this version; no more space on disk than other one; speed was about same as other one…but then, this new version (tried twice) in “Filesystem Objects” gets stuck at windows media player (specifically, wmpshare.exe) and hangs, hangs, hangs, for twenty minutes or as long as you after that care to wait; both times used “Cancel” button for scan, replied “yes” to “are you sure?” prompt, scanner doesn’t respond and keeps hanging, had to close out app at its GUI red “X”. On a 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium SP1; I’ve uninstalled this version, will wait for next one/bug(?) fix, and in meantime still have the separate MBAM Anti-Rootkit Beta standalone for as long as it will now last (it can scan drivers/system as well as sectors with same MBAM signatures). If anybody else has hangs with this version, maybe look into Emsisoft Emergency Kit portable (and non- real time, manual) scanner, as it too lets you see if you want detected items and choose quarantine/delete/ignore…but if you don’t know what you’re doing, don’t get into the BlitzBlast and HijackThis that are also part of said Kit. This might be some quirk of 64 bit Windows 7 causing my issue; if it works well on another PC, that wouldn’t surprise me at all.
