- Uncheck the checkbox associated with Show on startup at the bottom-right corner.
- This will disable the Profile Selector window permanently for startup.
- If you wish to remove the Profile Selector for that specific session only, then simply close the window.
How to enable Chrome Profile Selector on startup
If you wish to enable Chrome Profile Selector on startup is simple.
- Click on the Profile icon at the top-right area of the browser. It looks like your profile picture or a human-shaped figure if you didn’t set the profile picture.
- Then, corresponding to Other profiles, click on the gear-like symbol.
- This will open the profile window.
- Check the box associated with Show on startup.
Why do you need a profile on Google Chrome?
Whenever you use Google Chrome, you have an option to login to it and sync your data. Other than this, the browser is managed through all Google and Gmail profiles you load on it. You save bookmarks and have history.
Now, different users logged on to the system have different preferences and thus creating separate profile makes it easier for them to sort their information.

Creating a new profile on Google Chrome is easy.
- Simply click on Add in the Profile Selector window.
- Either Sign in to a Google account or select Continue without account.
- Then add details like name, color, and whether to create a desktop shortcut or not.
How to edit a Google Chrome profile?
Editing a few details for each Google Chrome profile is easy.
- Go to the Profile settings window as explained earlier.
- Click on the 3 dots associated with the profile you wish to delete.
- Select Edit.
- Now, you can edit the name, color, theme, and avatar.
- You can also create or remove the Desktop shortcut using a switch at the bottom-right corner.
How to use Google Chrome without logging into any profile?
If you wish to use Google Chrome without logging into any profile, you can choose the guest mode from the Profile Selector window. This option will be visible in the bottom-left corner. Simply turn ON the switch.
