Enable Dark Theme in Edge browser

Microsoft Edge browser in Windows 10, allows you to set a Dark Theme. Some people prefer to use dark themes, especially at nights or in the dark, as it is considered to cause lesser strain on the eyes. Using dark themes limits the intensity, conserves battery and makes it easier to work long hours.

The Settings section lets you tweak Edge browser settings to meet your particular needs. Edge browser now supports a home button, and even lets you import favorites from another browser and manage your saved passwords.

Enable dark theme in Edge

To enable Dark theme in Microsoft Edge browser, open Edge, click open the 3-dotted More actions menu and select Settings.

The first item you will is Choose a theme. From the drop-down menu, select Dark. The default is Light.


That is all you need to do. The color scheme of your Edge browser will turn to black, as shown in the following image.


To go back to the default, simply select Light.

There are several other changes you can make to your Edge browser. You could add a Home button and customize Edge New tab page. You change several other Edge settings and even enable or disable Adobe Flash player, turn on Caret Browsing, use Page Prediction and manage saved passwords.

    I just wish the dark theme could use gray instead of mostly black.

    I had enabled the dark theme on edge but I want to have an option in which the background looks dark on edge like it is available in firefox or chrome

    is this possible to customize edge like that ? cause it is easy to the eye ?
