It is possible to authenticate your Steam account to protect it from those who might want to steal your digital items, and even if your identity. Gamers who have amassed a substantial gaming catalog on Steam should take every precaution to protect their account from unauthorized access.
The question is, how can we do this? Well, how about taking advantage of Steam Guard? It is basically two-factor authentication, and we suggest all to enable this feature on their account. A secure account ensures you can always play video games with peace of mind, knowing you are fully protected.

What is Steam Guard?
Steam Guard is a two-factor authentication (2FA) system created by Valve, the company behind the Steam platform. You see, whenever you attempt to log in with your username and password, Steam will send an email to your account with a special code. Without this code, you will not be allowed to access your account.
Currently, there are only two ways to utilize 2FA: your email address and the Steam Guard app, available for iOS and Android devices.
When you sign in to Steam, you will be required to manually generate a code from the app, while the email option is automatic.
