How to create PDF Files

PDFCreator is a free tool to create PDF files from nearly any Windows application. While some programs offer the ability to convert into a PDF format, or export into PDF, there are many that do not have this capability. With this software, anything that can be printed can be turned into a PDF.

dopdf is 100 times better. Gets the framing right all the time. Some other pdf printers/converters mess up the framing of certain areas which can be annoying. dopdf is totally free and i recommend it. ;)

Unfortunately the current version of PDFcreator tries to install a toolbar in your browser that VIPRE, among other AV products, identifies as malware. There has been a lot of discussion of this on the PDFcreator forums. AFAICT the maintainers of PDFcreator claim that this is not malware, and that installers have to accept the toolbar, so perhaps this is hyperbole. FWIW VIPRE doesn’t like the toolbar.
