From among the 60+ participants, the individual rankings of each of the judges, viz. Ed Bott, Rafael Rivera, Steve Sinchak, Paul Schottland, Lowell Heddings, Emil Protalinski, Howard Lo, Corrine Chorney, James Fisher & myself, was taken and added together to arrive at the following shortlist of 10 websites, mentioned below in no particular order:
These 10 websites will be put up for open Community Vote, from Aug 11th, 1.30 PM UTC to Aug 26th 2009, 1.30 PM UTC.
Please do visit these fine Windows websites, & then cast your vote for and canvas for your favorite Windows website, so that it can move on to the final round. The criteria in short was and should be : Does the website have substantialoriginalquality content of interest & use to a Windows 7 & Vista user ?

“Instead of just the top 5 vote getters being re-judged afresh, in Phase II of the judging, the popularity of the websites will be added as a 6th parameter for judging.
So apart from (1) Content quality, (2) Content quantity, (3) Content originality, (4) Presentation & (5) Overall impression, POPULAR VOTE will also be considered as the 6th parameter.
This will now thus form only 1 of the now 6 parameters on which ALL the 10 websites will be judged afresh, by the Panel of Judges.”

The 4th & 5th runners-up will get a free license of Webroot Security Essentials.
