It doesn`t work properly. But still remain a good solution.
Any other programs similar in that??
How to solve this 3 errors??
1. Error getting information for System Restore allocated space
2. Error getting information for System Restore Used Space
3. Error getting information for System Restore Allocated Maximum Space

Cheers

Drat! I'm unable to get SRM to work on Windows 8.1. Too bad, seems like a nice little utility.

Just FYI, when I try to run it, it starts a cmd.exe and a conhost.exe and itself (System Restore Manager.exe) but doesn't rise to desktop level. No error pop-up messages. All three processes have no pending items in their wait-chains. I tried killing the cmd.exe, and the conhost.exe evaporated and the SRM window appeared on my desktop. I found then SOME OF its commands operate properly (f.e., changing parameters looks like it succeeds but on restart of SRM it has failed, while creating a restore-point succeeds). Makes sense, I probably killed half its functionality when I killed the cmd.exe and conhost.exe, so the problem isn't the cmd.exe or the conhost.exe, the problem is that SRM.exe won't appear on the desktop in the first place. Can't get it to "make itself appear." I have looked into DPI, have used troubleshooter to run under Win 7 or earlier compatibility settings, have tried most of the applicable parts of SRM's troubleshooting page https://www.thewindowsclub.com/system-restore-not-working-windows but no fix.

Maybe if I (ever?) switch to Win 10, I'll try some tweaks ... though the wait-chain emptiness has me fuzzled ...

Many thanks Anand. I have now done this.

It was a great program really, but seems like it started resetting my allocated space for sys restore pts to 1.6 GB (was it?) and thus some were deleted.

It is a portable tool. It does not require o be installed or uninstalled via Control Panel. To remove it, you have to just delete the program folder.

You folks don't seem to have my problem ....

I cannot uninstall this program. It does not show up in the remove programs facility in Control Panel and even Perfect Uninstaller (which claimed to be able to do so) cannot display it!

How the heck can a ghost program be removed if it cannot be found?
