This is a great post - thank you. I used above method for my Windows 8.1 and office 2013 - Win+A shortcut for long time ago.
Just upgraded to Windows 10 and office 2016 yesterday and I found I have to press Win+Shift+A to make the screen clipping work without any registry modifications. I guess it's because from Windows 10, the hexadecimal key is case sensitive so 41 is the capital A and I need to use Shift+A?

**This post will be helpful for people using Windows 10 Home and have Office 2016 installed.

I've been a big fan of OneNote 2013 and the screen clipping tool was the one i used it for the most. However, like most of you here, it has been very frustrating that i was unable to find this feature once i upgraded to Win10. I read a lot of posts about the using the shortcut key (Win+Shift+S), or even looking for the little icon in the notification bar (bottom right) but couldn't find any. This was really disappointing and got me frustrated to the point where i almost went back to Office 2013, until i stumbled upon a post from MS and realized i've been using the wrong application all along!!! Apparently MS have a built in version of OneNote on Windows 10 that’s simply called “OneNote" which is what i seemed to be using. This app, although visually enhanced, doesn't have the screen clipping tool. So, all you need to do, is search for "OneNote2016" app and start using that instead - Wola! the screen clipping works with the shortcut (Win+Shift+S) and you should also find the icon in the notification tab.

i hope this helps!
