Actually, this is a great idea. I too will create portable browsers and put it on D: drive so that I don&#039;t have to install it every time I format C drive. I do use some portable software on my pen drives but I never thought of keeping them on a separate drive on HDD itself. They should work faster in this case.]]></description>

If something happens to Windows and I have to reinstall it, my portable programs are ready to use just after OS installation. They remember all their settings, everything. I have them on another partition, so format c: is no problem. I prefer PortableApps.com, that works like repository with easy actualisation mechanism, so apps are up to date.]]></description>
