Indeed, Anand. But I confess to appreciating Ziggy’s sense of humor, commenting with “such is life” in Latin because two lines of my signature are in Latin. Excellent!

The problem, of course, is and has been, for a little while, now, the alleged “Dr.” Adamas who’s been posting around here in Italian, on an intentionally English-language website; and violating netiquette along the way by posting in all caps which has meant the equivalent of yelling on the Internet since dating back to old online bulletin board (BBS) systems of the old MS-DOS, PC-DOS and even CP/M days of the ’80s and even earlier; and especially in chat rooms, on forums, etc., on the Worldwide Web since the early ’90s while in beta, and since ’94 when fully released to the public.

Saddest — or, really, more accurately, most concerning — of all, though, about his/her postings is that they’re nearly incoherent, even in his/her own language… very much like something someone who’s either drunk or off his/her meds would ramble. The fact that it happens here (and I’ve found other sites where s/he does it, too) in spurts of postings makes me worry that s/he’s bi-polar (what used to be called “manic depressive”) and so his/her spurts of postings while s/he’s in a “high” or “manic” phase.

The bottom line, though, is that websites can’t tolerate the sort of thing that the good “Dr.” is doing. Whatever is the site’s intentional language is the only language in which comments should be posted… pretty much everyone — except the good “Dr.”, obviously — knows that. When I called him/her on it here in the past, s/he took some kind of “I have the right to post in any language I want; and if you don’t like it, use Google Translate” position. I’ve been hoping you’d reign him/her in on that one, and it’s clear that you now are. Good. Thank you.

In the meantime, @Adamas, seriously, I hope you get better soon. No, I’m not being sarcastic. It’s fairly clear from your writings — regardless of language — that there’s something wrong. If it’s a drinking problem, get help with it. If you’re off your meds, get back on them. If you have an undiagnosed organic problem, like a brain tumor or something, please see a physician. I don’t much like you (though, of course, I don’t really know you; I only have what you’ve presented of yourself around here), but I still don’t wish anything bad to happen to you. Get whatever help you need, get better, then please join us in your full capacity. I’ll bet we’d all like you a lot better.
