After witnessing the tremendous potential of Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 platform, ZTE did not want to be the one left in this emerging and ever-changing mobile market. So it took the plunge to manufacture Windows Phone mobile devices by announcing ZTE Tania, their first ‘Mango’ device. In India, ZTE is known to focus on CDMA devices. But this may tend to change with Tania. In fact, Tania can be amongst the best gifts given to a girlfriend (Tania is a Girl’s name). So if you plan to know more about this device, read on.
Sporting a 4.3 inch WVGA rich display with screen resolution of 800×480, the ZTE Tania has a pretty large screen to work on, and wider dimensions when compared to a few other Mango devices. It can be easily slid in your pocket without any groans, thanks to its compact size.
Powered by a 1.GHz processor, Tania has a RAM storage of 512 MB with 4 GB as internal storage which is quite impressive for a mobile device which is expected to be launched on a cheaper note (read price) when compared to others.
It’s sad that it doesn’t support video calling with the absence of a front camera. However, it does feature a rear auto focus camera of 5MP supported by LED Flash, which is a pretty normal spec today. However, it doesn’t lag behind in the multimedia front and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS navigation etc.
ZTE has not revealed any release date till now. However it is expected to hit the stores by end of November 2011.
But one thing is for sure which even ZTE and other mobile manufacturers believe in : “Mango is the sweetest fruit of ’em all”.
