Why, pray tell, does Microsoft make this such a complicated issue? Instead of coming up with "new features" in every update, why can't they fix this basic issue? I am so tired of Windows 10 because it seems every update incorporates changes in the start menu just for the sake of change. I have Linux Mint 18.3 on my old 250 G hard drive and I'm seriously considering cloning it to my newer 1 TB hard drive and be done with Windows 10 altogether.
