Have you tried deleting more than 1000 files at the same time in Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2?
If you do then you may not be able to recover any of them natively!
This is for the simple reason that when you delete more than 1000 files at the same time as a single batch, in Windows 7, or or Windows Server 2008 R2, they are deleted permanently and do not go into Recycle Bin as expected!
You will however, not face this issue if you delete the files one by one!
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem and has released an update KB979158 for it!
If you have your Windows Updates set to automatic, I’m sure you will see it having been installed in the last two days in your Updates History!
Just thought you might want to know, what this reliability update, that Microsoft released, was all about!
