From one day to another Onedrive stopped working on my Windows 10 Home 1709 b16299.125, I followed the steps and work perfectly.
I removed all the onedrive folders as recommended (look carefully for all the folders, there are so many) and then I used ccleaner.
I re-installed onedrive and the synchronization resumed correctly.

Thanks very much!!!!

Arun. Thank you my friend.

Got a new laptop and went all in with Office 365 and OneDrive and all that. On an older laptop, apparently I'd set up a OneDrive account with - I don't know. I couldn't set up my new account without knowing anything about the old account, and Windows/Microsoft was being of zero assistance. Had pretty much given up, but I figured I'd give the interwebs one more shot.

Command-line uninstall, regedit, command-line install and OneDrive now thinks I'm its best new friend. Forgot all about that old guy that I used to be.

Had to figure out a way to say thanks.

The correct file name is OneDriveSetup.exe, perhaps they have since changed it to this.
