I originally had the same problem as others have identified, with notifications on for all accounts, but got notified only SOME of the time, so I reverted to the very reliable Checker Plus for Gmai and turned OFF all notifications in Windows Mail, not wanting to receive notifications from BOTH for each email --- but now the setting won&#039;t stay OFF!  Each time I set it to off and close Windows Mail, when I open it again, the settings have jumped back to ON!]]></description>
