Most of you may be aware of the RSS fed dynamic themes for Windows 7, that Microsoft has introduced with this iteration of the Windows operating system. These RSS based dynamic themes add new backgrounds automatically to your Windows 7 desktop, via an RSS feed.
We have already covered some RSS fed dynamic themes like Bing Search RSS theme, Bing Maps and Paramount Pictures. In this article, we will tell you how these dynamic themes works.

See, when you subscribe to the themes RSS feed, your Windows PC will automatically download the new wallpapers whenever they are added to the Microsoft theme server. So whenever you connect to the Internet, the images or desktop wallpapers will get downloaded to a special folder on your PC and get displayed on your desktop automatically.
This way you don’t need to change your theme or wallpapers often – and you can expect to be surprised anytime with a new wallpaper.
Rest assured that all the JPEG files that get downloaded are safe and secure, as they get downloaded from some Microsoft server only.
Do note that to be able to use such dynamic themes, you will have to be logged in as an administrator or a regular user. Guest users may get to see a dark screen instead.
From time to time, Microsoft does release such beautiful RSS fed dynamic themes. Today we are listing down 3 more which have been released, some very recently – some not so recently.

Personally speaking, I do not use these RSS themes, but I am just curious to know, if any of you use these RSS dynamic themes; and if yes what has been your experience with them.
RSS updated themes are great. I use one that pulls from a Yahoo pipes feed pulling from Interfacelift. Updates almost daily, and it pulls new submissions as they come in. Love RSS.
Iv’e used these themes and they are great. The only downside is CCleaner deletes them and they need to be reloaded.
SoundMix, open CC and go to Options > Exclude. Add this folder to your exclude list: C:UsersYOUR USERIDAppDataLocalMicrosoftWindowsTemporary Internet Filesenclosure. CC will avoid deleting that folder the next time it runs, preserving all your RSS downloads.
good one, actually, i have made one using bing image,
mine is not working please help!
Even after i download my computer doesn’t ask to download rss feed which it did the first time i downloaded this theme. I deleted this theme accidentally the first time then again i downloaded this and now its not working as usual.
I have deleted everything in my computer related to this theme and tried downloading it again but again its the same result.
i also tried restarting my computer and tried downloading it again, but its again the same result. Then i deleted it and ran ‘C cleaner’. And again i tried to download and run it on my comp but again it did not work.
Was the problem when i deleted it? Or is there some problem with my computer?
the theme is aqua dynamic btw
The Flora theme is my first dynamic theme, and really like some of the pictures. There are some I’d like to save on my PC so I can see them any time, but I can’t seem to locate the location of any of the pics except the current one. When the background changes, the lone picture in this folder changes with it.
Are the others actually downloaded to my computer, or is it really one at a time, with the new pic overwriting the old? On my computer, the single, current picture is located at C:UsersMichaelAppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsThemes. I can go there, right click and drag to another folder to copy, but I’ve been doing this for each individual picture. I’d really like to save them all then weed through them.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.
