The GPO also notes that it doesn&#039;t stop programs from making Windows do a shutdown, restart, etc. So put a batch file on the public desktop with the shtudown /r command so that anyone can restart. Or if you want to do it yourself, sending a remote command as you suggested should also work.]]></description>

I merely want the conference room PC&#039;s to stay online for the next user of the room, restarting is fine though. :  And what if it NEEDS to be restarted? Can I remotely send a &quot;shutdown /r /m \[computername]&quot; command as domain administrator (or admin of the box) and have it work?]]></description>
