I can run those submenu items if i go into All programs and go into the folder and run it. but nothing at all happens when clicking on them in their ‘recent’ sub-menu. For example, they run fine when running them from here:

but nothing happens (not even a circle ‘waiting’ icon on the mouse) when trying to run from here:
