Picasa is free photo editing software from Google that makes your pictures look great. It makes sharing your best photos with friends and family, as easy as pressing a button! Picasa has updated to version 3.8 with some cool features like Face movies, Picnik integration, batch uploads and Meta data integration.

You will see these four new features in version 3.8. This latest version is available only in English but will soon support additional languages.

Picnik Integration: A few weeks back, Picasa introduced the Picnik tool inside Picasa. Picnika is an online photo editing tool that lets you to use variety of rich photo editing effects right inside from your Picasa. So with this integration of online tool, users will unleash their creativity to a larger extent.

Face Movies: This is an entirely a different tool to work with. You might have used many tools which creates movie sildeshows with images, but on all the tools you can see a simple transition effect from one photo to the next, but using the Face movie, you can create videos which allows the person in the photos to remain the focus rather than the transition effects themselves. Words cannot describe this feature, see  the video below.

Batch uploading of photos: This is now possible. All these days we can upload multiple files, but with this new version you can upload the entire photo album to your Picasa web album.

Image Meta data: It also includes the meta-data updates to the image. Meta data are information stored inside every image such as how large the image is, color depth, resolution etc. So with this version of Picasa, it reads meta data of images.
