Pheed review
That said, what’s new with Pheed? Well, there’s nothing new or groundbreaking. It’s just a new startup, a social service which like Twitter allows you follow, correction, subscribe to celebrities, people via channels.
It is Via channels you post words, photos, videos, live broadcasts, audio clips and other sharable elements. So, it has become popular among creative – musicians, photographers and more. What it has in common with Facebook then?? Timeline! The site features a Facebook-inspired timeline.
You can sign up for the service with your Facebook, Twitter or just with an email account. When you do so, Pheed accesses your public profile, friend list and email address. It then seeks your permission to post publicly on your behalf.
All you need to do is choose a username that appears as your channel link. You can add a short description about yourself, if you want but the step is optional. Once done, you are set to build your timeline. Here’s a picture of how it looks. Please note, it is essential to build your timeline you need to subscribe to 3 channels.
The timeline page boasts similar features as seen in Facebook. You can post something, add a video, upload photos and do lot more. The timeline also features ‘Like’, changed to ‘I love this’ link.
Also, towards the left hand you will find ‘Notifications’ feed. You can view all your notifications here.
If you would like to add your friends or invite them to join Pheed, just hit the ‘Add Friends’ link.
Then, share your Pheed channel with them on Facebook or invite them directly via email.
I’m on Pheed now! Whatever you do, do not forget to subscribe to me.
