Thanks for the great article.
I am just moving my 3 PCs to W10 and have the exact problem with W7.
I encountered the problem while trying to do a repair install.
My W7 installation disk or recovery disk will not boot to to recovery.
And I  cannot reset the bios to set the DVD as the first boot option.
The closest I get for that option is:
   W7 C: Samsung SSD w/ O.S.
    Path: windows.system32winload.exe
    Partition: 1
    Hard Disk: 3a342a
[    / NOEXECUTE=OPTIN/

I have tried every thing I could think of to fix the problem without success.
In past when resetting a bios, I have never encountered that strange type of text.

I sure hope you can suggest how the bios can be reset.
