Trim, save, share videos with Movie Moments App for Windows 10

Recent developments in mobile technology have made it possible for users to capture the most defining moments of their life as a collection of simple images and short videos. A new app from Microsoft – Movie Moments App for Windows 10 possesses special utility in this task.

This app released by Microsoft allows you to capture special moments you( from a trip, tour, indoor or outdoor events) and remodel them into a short video clip of 60 seconds. And to make it more appealing you can even add music to the video.

To make a video, you must first install and open ‘Movie Moments’ app.

For this, go to the Windows Store, making sure that you’re signed in using a Microsoft account.

Enter the text – Movie Moments in the search box of the Store. Wait for the results to load. Select Movie Moments from the results and hit the Install button.

Once the app is installed, open it on your Windows 10 computer and pick a video you want to edit or trim.

Now, to edit the length of the video, move the slider to the desired spot.


To trim scenes from the middle, look for the circle below the Caption button, called the Playhead and move it to the end of a section you want to keep. If the Playhead is in an active section, select Split else, select Create and adjust the slider point as desired.

For adding captions and a title, select the Caption button, enter a line of text, and when done, click ‘Done’.

Once you have done everything, select ‘Preview’ to view the changes made.


Give a final touch to your video by adding music to it. For this, select your favorite Music. You can also get songs from Movie Moments by selecting ‘Download recommended songs’. If you do not have any music file saved to your computer, chose one of the recommended songs.

Now, to listen to the music with your movie hit the Preview button and you are good to go.

    Looking forward to this app but it keeps failing when trying to install. When attempting to install other apps from Windows Store all is good. Any ideas?
