It wont be too far in the future, that the next wars could well be fought in the “Clouds”! Microsoft has released a video comparing the features of its Office Web Apps to those of Googls Docs. The video suggests that Microsofts Office 365 + SkyDrive combination offers many more features and a much better user-experience than Google Docs.
Office Web Apps are slimmed down versions of their desktop counterparts. They allow for viewing, sharing & editing of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote documents right in your web browser. Along with access to the tools you also get 25GB of storage space. Google Docs let you create and share your work online. You can share your Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Drawings, Forms and more.
The video shows how three students use SkyDrive and Office to work together on a group paper.
