Procedure to acquire Microsoft certified solutions developer in Web applications

MCSD for web applications has been divided into 3 steps. Every step deals with specific areas of web application development covering  basic web programming  using HTML5 with Javascript and CSS3, developing ASP.net MVC web apps and developing Microsoft Azure and web services.

Step 1: Programming in HTML5 with Javascript and CSS3

This exam helps prove your skills on modern web apps which is programmed using HTML5, Javascript and CSS3. When you take up this exam the following skills are measured – implementing and manipulating document structures and objects, implementing program flow, accessing and securing data and using CSS3 in applications.

Candidates for this exam should have an year of experience in programming the application logic for a variety of application types and hardware/software platforms using JavaScript. Candidates should also be aware of developing apps with HTML in an object-oriented, event-driven programming model.

Step 2: Developing ASP.NET MVC Web Applications

When you take up this exam the following skills are measured – designing the application architecture and user experience, developing the user experience, troubleshooting/debugging web applications, designing and implementing the security.

This exam is meant for developers with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in developing Microsoft ASP.NET web applications and who has 2 or more years of experience in MVC-based solutions development.

Step 3: Developing Microsoft Azure and Web Services

This course deals with developing web applications using Microsoft Azure web services. The following skills are measured in this exam – accessing data, querying and manipulating data by using entity framework, designing and implementing WCF services, creating and consuming web API based services and deploying web applications and services.

This exam is ideal for software developers with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in developing web services including 1 or more years of experience in creating web APIs and Azure solutions.
