Infographic: Windows Phone 2011 Retrospective

Microsoft has released an infographic about the highlights, developments and achievements of Windows Phone in the year 2011. This infographic has been posted on the Windows Phone Developers Blog.

The statistics displayed include the number of apps available on the MarketPlace, Monetization opportunities, Consumer interest, downloads, developer interest, etc.

Microsoft has created this infographic to provide a retrospective look back on Windows Phone in 2011, with a specific view to information developers would want to see.

Microsoft had last year announced several new Windows Phone 7 features coming in 2011, including a “dramatically enhanced” browser experience based on Internet Explorer 9; additional multitasking capabilities; support for Microsoft Office documents in the cloud; and the addition of Twitter to the People Hub.
