HTC Titan 2 Windows Phone: Overview, Specs and Features

In this article I will try to give you an overview of the biggest Windows Phone at the present moment (showcased at CES 2012, but not yet available in the market) with its mammoth 4.7 inch display. It is expected to hit the shelves in first quarter of this year.

Let us start the overview with a look at the specifications and internal hardware packed by HTC in Titan II.

HTC Titan 2 Specifications

Inside, the handset comes packed with a 1.5GHz single core Scorpion processor which is well complimented by a 512 MB RAM, so I expect that there will be no issues with the speed of the handset. In the storage capacity section the HTC Titan II has a 16 GB storage on board – but it has no card slot for memory expansion.

Now coming back to the size once again, the screen of the HTC Titan II is a humongous 4.3 inches which happens to be S-LCD capacitive touch screen and supports over 16m colors. The resolution of the screen is 480×800 pixel that makes the ppi 199. The dimension of the phone is 132x69x13 mm where as it weighs 147g.

If we have a look at the camera of the phone, one can see that ias the best rear camera on offer as it sports a 16MP camera on the posterior with LED Flash, Geo tagging, Image Stabilization. No other smartphone in the world has as strong camera as the HTC Titan II. The handset has a 1.3 MP camera on the front.

The battery, if compared with the Lumia 900, is a little weak as it is Li-ion 1730mAh and the Lumia 900 has a 1850 mAh battery, plus the size is also a little bigger.

I have already described that the phone is a Windows Phone as it runs Windows Phone 7.5 OS and upgradable to Tango and Apollo as well. In the browser section, the HTC Titan II has an HTML 5 browser. And yes, for connectivity, it offers a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 802.11 b/g/n. Like Lumia 900 it too has support for 4G LTE network.

The Verdict

This handset with such a huge screen and the unmatched camera proficiency is any tech lover’s fantasy. Plus it has the 4g LTE support, so I would like to call it the monster of a phone and give it my full recommendation. Folks, get ready to see some real super stuff in HTC Titan 2!
