12th October 2011 was widely anticipated in India for that was the day Microsoft has decided to launch Windows Phone officially in India. Though it should have happened a lot earlier, but nevertheless, it was a fine event. Chaired by Bhaskar Pramanik, Chairman of Microsoft India, this launch event also saw the official launch of three Windows Phone 7 devices in India, the HTC Radar, Acer Allegro and Samsung Omnia W.
Of these three, it’s the HTC Radar which lures me the most. Though a lot many users in India already own a HTC HD7 running on Windows Phone 7.5 OS (Mango), but the HTC Radar is HTC’s first Windows Phone 7.5 Mango device to be launched in India.
A major attraction of the HTC Radar is its strong unibody aluminum build with an all-white scheme which definitely makes it stand tall among others. Sporting a 3.8-inch display screen, the HTC Radar is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm processor and supported with 512MB of RAM storage. It can be considered as spacious given its internal storage capacity (8 GB). And video-calling lovers, you shall love this white beauty even more as it does support video-calling thanks to its dual cameras – a primary back-facing camera of 5MP coupled with a front-facing VGA camera.
The HTC Radar can be a winner when it comes to the sales factor in India, thanks to its strong body and sweet features. If you are looking for a ‘simple’ pretty phone but which does everything for you at an affordable rate, the HTC Radar is the one to vouch for.
