How to Remove or Uninstall Internet Explorer from Windows 10/8/7

It is possible for you to remove Internet Explorer from the Windows OS. It is for the first time that Microsoft has allowed users to uninstall IE, without breaking any other functions of the operating system which depend on it.

Many applications like Microsoft Office, Messenger, Windows Media Player,  etc. which depend on it, will continue to run properly.

Uninstalling Internet Explorer will not remove the shared rendering engine components, but only the IE executables, settings & shortcuts will be removed.

To uninstall Internet Explorer on your Windows 10/8/7 computer:

Open Control Panel > Programs & Features > Turn Windows features on or off.

In the Windows Features box, uncheck Internet Explorer to remove Internet Explorer. Click OK > Reboot.

To reinstall it again, you need to simply select the checkbox again.
