There is no inbuilt feature to add Maps into blog post through the WordPress web platform. But Microsoft has made a provision in Bing Maps, with which we can add Bing Maps to the blog posts from Windows Live Writer.
Here is how we can add Maps to the blog post:
If you are new to Windows Live Writer, we recommend you to learn to first configure Windows Live Writer for WordPress blogs.
Now, open Windows Live Writer from Start > All Programs > Windows Live > Windows Live Writer.
Click on the Insert from the Ribbon menu. Into that menu you may find options for inserting a table, images, photo album, tags, video, emoticons etc. Click on the Map option according to the below screenshot.
You will get the Bing Map Window, in which you can search for your desired map, that you want to insert into the blog post. You can also set the type of the map (Road / Aerial) from the drop-down menu.
If you want to locate a particular place, you can Pushpin the location. Right-click the map to add a pin and click on the Insert button.
That’s it!
You can now display Maps into your blog posts.
