Hide Windows 7 Desktop Icons Automatically When PC is Inactive

  1. I used to use Iconoid for this same purpose. But, as far as I can tell, it hasn’t been updated even for Vista. Why do I want to use this program? I never saw the sense of choosing wonderful pictures for your desktop wallpaper, and then cluttering it up with icons. I prefer to use the Taksbar, but Microsoft has now made it less useful while claiming to do the opposite. So now I keep more icons on my desktop. I use Fences from Stardock to keep them organized; now I can make them disappear again!
