Handy Backup Home Professional Review

I downloaded and installed Handy Backup Pro 7. The UI is quite nice and easy to understand. To perform any action, tasks are to be created. There are three types of tasks that can be created, that are Backup, Restore and Synchronize. For every folder and location a different task has to be created.

Handy Backup

Talking about the backup locations, the software offers a variety of locations where you can save your backup files. Additional to your computer hard disk, you can save backups to:

  • CD/DVD/Blu-Ray
  • Network
  • FTP
  • FTPS
  • SFTP
  • Handy Backup Online Backup service
  • Amazon S3
  • WebDAV

The selected files are indexed and copied to the desired backup location. You can also choose to zip the contents of backup and secure it with a password. Scheduling features are also available so that you can easily schedule an automatic backup.

Now if we talk about backup features, as I already mentioned Handy Backup can almost backup every part of your Windows Computer. You can backup file folders on your PC and you can even backup windows libraries and User Folders. Apart from these you can backup emails stored in Outlook.

A complete disk image can also be backed up but this feature requires administrator privileges. MSSQL and MySQL database can be now easily backed up using this wonderful software. Using this software you can also backup excel files and access database. You can also backup all the data from MS Exchange Server.

One extra feature that this software offers is that it can even back up the Registry. With Handy Backup, registry backups can also be performed – plus you can also backup CD/DVD/Blu-Ray disks and network locations. FTP, FTPS, SFTP, Amazon S3 and WebDAV servers can also be backed up using this software.

Restoration of backups can be easily performed without any fuss. There is another feature called ‘Create a Recovery Drive’. With this option you can easily create a recovery drive which can be used to recover files during a disk crash or system corrupt.  Email notifications can also be easily enabled so that you keep on getting notifications even if you aren’t near your PC. The software overall is amazing with tons of features.
