Michael London’s Groundswell Productions has teamed with producer John Morris to acquire the movie rights to Ken Auletta’s book, Googled: The End of the World As We Know it, and make it into a movie.
The feature film will tell the story of Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page and the fast rise of the organisation that made them billionaires.
While the Facebook movie revolves around a group of Harvard friends who squabbled in success, the Google movie revolves around two Stanford Ph.D students and friends, who created a search engine ,that changed the world, and how the world in turn changed them.
The movie will focus on how they tried to hang onto their idealism as Google became a global phenomenon, reports DeadLine.
