Google Coutdown Timer…an easter egg?

An Easter egg was discovered on Google’s homepage today. When the user visits Google.com, leaves the search box blank and clicks “I’m Feeling Lucky”, the user is prompted with a countdown timer.

Some users at Neowin suspect that the clock is just a countdown timer to the year 2010 and nothing else, while others suspect that Google has bigger announcements up their sleeves, possibly Google’s Nexus One release announcement, or something just as large.

1224914 secs works out to around 14 days!

What do you think?

Visit Google.com and check it out for yourself!
