It has been three years since Google launched the Chrome browser. Chrome has come a long way in these 3 years. It has become very popular, being now in the 13th version with plenty of plugin support to enhance its functionality. It currently has around 23% market share world-wide.
To celebrate this event Google has put together an interactive infographic, built in HTML5, which details the evolution of major web technologies and browsers.
Over time web technologies have evolved to give web developers the ability to create new generations of useful and immersive web experiences. Today’s web is a result of the ongoing efforts of an open web community that helps define these web technologies, like HTML5, CSS3 and WebGL and ensure that they’re supported in all web browsers.
