We had mentioned that Twitter would soon be making available its own Tweet buttons. Twitter has now released the Official twitter tweet buttons for blogs and websites. The Twitter button lets you share links directly from the page you’re on. When you click on the Tweet Button, a Tweet box will appear, pre-populated with a shortened link that points to the item that you’re sharing.
To get the botton, go to Twitter Goodies > Tweetbutton section and select the button style to display on your blogs. You can choose vertical count, horizontal count or no count. Once you’ve selected, then select the tweet text. You can leave it to display the title or you can have custom tweet text. Twitter offers 5 languages to choose from for displaying the tweet dialog box on the selected language.
Once you’ve selected the button, add the Twitter username for Retweeting the content. It allows up to two Twitter accounts for users to follow after they share content from your website. These accounts could include your own, or that of a contributor or a partner. If you’ve multi-author blog, this could be a useful feature.
Now grab the code and paste it on your blog. You can see a preview box when you click on the tweet button. It shortens the original url with its own shortened url t.co and also displays the twitter handle at the last.
