I just reinstalled windows 10. Since looking up this article, my passwords have come back and now my favorites are back. It just takes a few minutes for them to get downloaded. If installed correctly your favorites should be in the cloud so that no matter where you log in, they are accessible and if you get a new device and install Edge, they will be downloaded so you will have consistency across your devices.

after I set up a new laptop (favourites then disappeared). Just restore that file from the Import Favourites feature and you are good to go.

Nothing there. Lost them when Edge crashed and it recovered all my files except settings and favorites. 2 years worth of research gone:(

I’ve been playing with this for the past 3 weeks or more, with no success. Unfortunately your method didn’t succeed either. I definitely think that the boookmarks should be stored somewhere relatively non-volatile!
